Kelly DeSalvo, MA, RP (Qualifying)
Life’s challenges can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of our next steps. Whether you're an adult struggling with the demands of parenthood or a young person managing the stress of everyday life while also trying to determine your path, you don’t have to face it alone.
Hi, I’m Kelly (she/her), a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions, develop coping strategies, and regain a sense of balance.
Many of the individuals I work with are mothers who feel they’ve lost themselves in the demands of parenthood. It’s easy to pour everything into your family and suddenly realize your own needs have been put on the back burner. Together, we explore ways to reconnect with yourself, regain a sense of independence, and find fulfillment beyond the roles you play for others.
I also have a deep passion for working with teens and young adults who are building their sense of self while managing anxiety, stress, and the pressures of growing up. Whether you’re navigating school, relationships, career decisions, or major life transitions, I aim to help you develop the confidence, resilience, and skills needed to move forward with clarity and purpose.
My approach is client-centered and strength-based, recognizing that even in life’s most challenging moments, you carry inner strengths that have helped you get to where you are today. Sometimes, it takes stepping back—or having someone gently pull back the curtains—to see the resilience, skills, and resources already within you. I work alongside you to uncover these strengths and build on them, helping you navigate stress, uncertainty, and transitions with greater confidence and clarity. By drawing from a range of therapeutic techniques, I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs and goals.
Outside of my work, I enjoy life’s simple pleasures—spending time with my family, getting lost in a good book, and finding moments of calm in a busy world. I also have a couple of cats who keep life interesting. I believe in the power of humor, taking things one step at a time, and embracing the little things that make each day unique—both in life and in therapy.
